The Whitby Public Library is a registered charitable organization that gratefully accepts bequests, memorials, individual, business and organization donations.
Your gift helps the Library ensure the continued evolution of services to meet the demands of our changing community. Public libraries are a place of possibilities which have the power to change lives. Donating to the Whitby Public Library helps us make this impact now and for future generations. A donation to your library is also a meaningful way to honour or remember someone special.
Online donations through our secure site will be sent a receipt automatically. For donations made by mail, a tax receipt will be mailed for donations over $20.

No one likes to discard a book, but sometimes the condition of the book requires it. Catalogues, magazines, paperback books and phone books may be recycled through the local Blue Box program. For more information on recycling, phone 905-579-5264 or visit the Region’s website.
