The Whitby Public Library provides material in a variety of accessible formats. We carry large print, audiobooks, e-audiobooks, e-books, and a selection of Braille picture books, and DVDs with described video and closed captioning. Materials can also be borrowed from other libraries through interlibrary loan and through the Centre for Equitable Library Access.
DAISY readers and discs are available for borrowing and the Central Library has an accessible public computer station with ZoomText magnification and JAWS screen reader software and a magnifying aid designed for people with low vision, to enlarge newspapers, magazines, forms, etc.
