It’s an exciting time for the Town of Whitby. The signs of enormous growth are all around us. The Library’s 2024-2028 Strategic Plan will ensure we’re ready to meet the needs of our ever-changing community. Our new plan focuses on people first. Our Mission, Values, and Vision are rooted in connecting our customers by working together.
When we began work on our new Strategic Plan, we looked hard at where we’ve been and where we want to go. It was important for us to explore the many changes taking place around us, globally and at our front door. We spoke to our partners, stakeholders, and customers about their expectations for the Library. We received a tremendous amount of feedback.
There was a theme that punched through. It was the value people place on the Library as a community hub, a collaborative partner, and a welcoming place for all. We used this insight to help shape our new plan. As the centre and heart of the community, our priority is to nurture a sense of caring and belonging.
