Library Program Proposal

Thank you for your interest. We welcome program proposals from the general public and community partners wishing to share their knowledge and skills.  

If we are unable to use your proposal at this time we will keep your information for future consideration. Due to the volume, the Library is not able to respond to all proposals. If we are interested in your program, we will contact you.

Accessibility Regulations for Programs  

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requires that presenters be trained in accessible customer service, information and communications and in the Ontario Human Rights Code as it relates to disability. Presenters may need to make accommodations in programs they offer through the Library.

The Library reserves the right to request additional information, such as samples or references, to assist in evaluating this proposal.  

Use of Personal Information 

Personal information on this form is collected under the authority of the Public Libraries Act and the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. It will be used to plan and evaluate program proposals in compliance with federal, provincial and municipal legislation and Whitby Public Library Rules of Conduct, Privacy Policy and any other applicable library policies. Questions about the collection of personal information should be directed to the Director, Community and Service Development, Whitby Public Library, or Library CEO.
