The Whitby Public Library offers Self-Serve and Quick 3D printing at the Central Library (second floor). We have filaments in multiple colours; patrons must use library provided filament. The filament can be painted with acrylic or model paint.
Self-Serve 3D Printing
With our Self-Serve 3D Printer Service, you can unleash your inner 3D maker and use our Bambu Lab P2S printer yourself! See MakerWorld for inspiration. To use our 3D printer, you must:
- have a WPL card in good standing
- must be 14 years of age or older
- Read our 3D printing modules
- complete a 3D printing quiz
- complete a 1-on-1 Tech Help at Central appointment for 3D printing after you have passed the 3D printing quiz
- Book a timeslot to use the 3D printer

Printing Costs
$0.10 per gram of printing. We accept cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard.
Quick 3D Printing
Visit the second floor information desk and select an item from our Quick Print collection. These 3D objects cost $1.00 each. Self-Serve training is not required. Quick Print objects can be requested by anyone (including those under the age of 14) and are subject to 3D printer availability. We do not take requests via email or phone.
