Library Visits for Schools and Community Groups

Get to know your library with a guided tour of your closest library branch, a Virtual Library tour, or a library-faciliated workshop at your organization. To request a visit at one of our locations or to have the library come to you, please fill out the Request a Library Visit form. You will receive a response within three business days regarding your request. All requests are approved based on staff availability.

The types of visits that can be arranged with the library include:

  • Library Orientation (All Ages): This visit includes a tour of the library facility and an overview of services offered. The experience will be tailored to the age of the participants indicated in the form below. Please indicate any specific topics or collections that you would like to be highlighted in your orientation. For example, we can do an abbreviated storytime, recommend titles for your group to read, and much more.
  • Digital Library Orientation (Grade 4 and Up): Learn more about how to use the library’s online resources, access our digital content and find books and materials using the library catalogue. The content of this visit will be tailored to the age or grade level of the participating group.
  • Library Staff to Visit Your Organization (All Ages): The library visits local schools and organizations to talk about library services or to offer workshops. Please see our workshop guide for more information on the types of visits that you can request.
